Finally!

Haha. Finally figured out how to upload this thing (my friend helped me out and before people comment on it, yes I already know I am technologically inept.)
But here it is, the logo telling me I am a NaNo Winner. That and the purple bar saying WINNER!

I have done it...

I have won my first NaNoWriMo. With a final number of 50,071, I did what I only dreamed I could do, and I won. It was a long hard month, and there were times I wanted to give up, but I persevered, and now I feel as if I can do anything. :-D Along with my winners certificate, I got a nifty cool winners badge.... which refuses to show up. Meh.
:-D
And now I get to sleep. I will see you all after I have recovered from my month of writing.

Another day of NaNo done.

I did a twitter word sprint and got a lot of my 1,667. :-D If you need to word sprint and would like to join us at it on twitter, just go here.  NaNoWordSprints

As for my wordcount... i only had about 200 and something words to go for my goal after the sprint :-D. As it stands my word count is thus:

33,333...i think

Anyway, I have gotten a lot of words done in 3 weeks. I am so proud of myself. Although, if I had to do this for a whole year, it would probably kill me. Something cool to show you folks my progress...

See you next post!

I know I know... slacker....

But hey I am on time with my word count! I am at 23,740, and by the end of the night i should be at least at 25,000. Halfway point! Woot! *is off to plug away at her story... it's just getting interesting again*

Okay so I have been a little behind in my posting....

I have met quota everyday however, and i am currently at 10,748. That's 747 words over quota.... wait errr... I got that a bit backwards. 10,478. That's 477 words over  quota. Yes. There we go.... I flipped the numbers around. But anyway, 477 over quota is good, right? Right. And tomorrow is saturday. Hooray! That means Doctor Who eppis that I have to catch up on, and then more writing. See ya next update.

Haha! I did it! Nother day down!

3rd day down! Come on everyone! *grabs sparkling apple cider* Let's celebrate. But really. This is amazing. I have never ever written so much in one month in my life. I am loving this. Can't wait until tomorrow. But right now I am off to watch tv and go to sleep. Happy NaNoing All!

Quick math lesson.

Current official word count (not counting what i worked on now) is 3,469. I need 1,667 to make my goal for the day, right? So let's do some quick math: 3,469 + 1,667= 5001 (odd number , we know already. Now for some more math. how about 1,667(word count i need) minus 1,169 (what i have). Let's see how that works out.
1,667-1,169= 498.
Great. Killjoy... if you will excuse me I am off to bash my head against the wall.

HOORAY

I have written 1,256 words in one sitting. It took me over an hour, possibly an hour an a half. Hooray for writing in large chunks!

First day of NaNo Wordcount

Okay so it's the second day when I am posting this. So sue me. I didn't have time to post it last night when I got done. So, wordcount as it stands now: 1,706. :-D I'm shocked.

NaNo is nearly here!

Okay, sorry to double post on you guys, but I just wanted to announce that National Novel Writing Month a.k.a NaNoWriMo, is nearly here. For those of you that don't know, NaNoWriMo is a 30 day writing spree where you have to write a novel of 50,000 words (or over) in a month. That's 1,667 words a day folks. There will be a lot of writing when I am supposed to be sleeping.... and getting up early and being super tired... but you know what? I think that's going to be the fun of it.

Those who are interested please go and check it out: NaNoWriMo

Make sure to sign up before November first! Hopefully I'll see you there. (I'm known as Nikko-chan)

Of colonoscopies and manners.

Gather round for story time, folks. Alright. Everyone comfy? Good.

I go to a work program five days a week, and I get picked up using their transportation system. They had a new guy starting the program, and he was in the front seat, so I jumped in the back. All was well and good. I was too tired to keep up a conversation and was thanking the powers that be that someone else was there to talk with the driver. Then the driver does a big manners no-no. He mentions his parents and his siblings colonoscopies. Eww, gross.

Naturally my brain can't tune out as he keeps talking to the new guy (it was his very first day going to the program as i mentioned before.) all about polyps and how they could be cancerous or not and how he needs to go into the doctors for a colonoscopy. I was grossed out by this point and praying we would arrive at the work program facility soon. I felt so bad for the new guy, as he had only known the driver for a half hour at most, and I had only known him for a few months altogether.

Which brings me to my next point. You don't talk about colonoscopies to people you've just met! I mean sure, you might remind Uncle Bo to get a colonoscopy cause he's getting up there in years and is forgetful, but that's family. You do not proceed to mention a colonoscopy in semi-detail with a stranger. Just don't do it. Please. I am begging you. Don't. It's not comfortable for the new guy in the passenger seat, nor is it comfortable for the person in the back seat. They cannot escape. Remember that. And choose your topics wisely. The people you are talking with will thank you.

Chopped

VERY BIG SPOILER ALERT FOR FOOD NETWORK'S SHOW CHOPPED! If you haven't watched it yet please don't read this.

Okay. Watched the new episode of chopped and the only thing I can say is WTF?! Why didn't they cut Mor out after the first very big NO-NO? He cut his hand, and kept working with the food, blood and all! I mean someone from the crew told him "You have to put a glove or a bandage on it" and he was all like "i know i know" and he keeps working! And they didn't chop him! How stupid are these people!?

And then second round comes and Mor double dips. The others made mistakes with the ingredients and such but he freaking double dipped! And to add insult to injury, he served it to the judges. They called him out on it, thank goodness. So after that fiasco you would think he would get chopped. Nope.... they chop some other guy who "took too big of a risk" well at least he didn't double dip and you didn't end up with hair on your plate! (With the third male chef there, one of his hairs accidentally landed on Alex's plate and he didn't notice. Glad he didn't get chopped cause that could have happened to anyone... but he still should have worn a hat afterwards just in case it happened again.)

So third round comes, and it's Mor and the girl. After the last round Mor exclaimed "well I won't double dip again! Every spoon I use I'll throw away." Good for you dude, thanks for listening to the judges. So they open up the baskets and get to work. Mor is at the stove working on a sauce. He dips the spoon in, tastes... and then what does he do folks? That's right, he dips it again! Will this man never learn? I thought 'If they don't chop him I am going to scream.' Well thankfully I didn't have to scream... but still.... they were so stupid about keeping him even after he 1. got blood in their food (he rushed and made a bloodless batch)and 2. Double-dipped not once but twice... in two different rounds!

What are these people thinking? A chef that thought nothing of contaminating food with blood and then saliva? If this is how this man acts in his restaurant I do not want to go there.

New Years Resolutions

Okay okay. I've never made New Years Resolutions before, but hey, there's a first time for everything, right? Right. So on to my New Years Resolutions.

1. Learn how to meditate.

2. Work on Spirituality, and really work this time, not just say I'm going to study and then not do it.

3. Learn. And never stop.

And I think three new years resolutions is good enough for this year. And if I fail at any one of these, I will try try again. Afterall, I'm only human.
